The benefits of pizza: who said junk food?

Most experts in nutrition describe pizza as junk food. Along with hamburgers, chips, tacos, hot dogs and sodas, pizza is one of those foods we should almost never eat.

Highly appealing, yes, but poor in nutrients and high in fats. But, is this so? Should pizza be considered junk food?

First difference between pizza and other junk foods is that pizza isn’t fried. Most bad fats and hydrogenated oils that these foods carry intervene in the frying process. But pizza is free from those bad ingredients.

So, who said pizza was junk food?
